The editor, Dinis Cruz, in the conductor's session (conductor@book.the-ultimate-insider), 3 November 2026, about 01:15 UTC, after reading the published RC2 draft. Kept here as he gave it (a voice transcription). Never edited; where it turns out to be wrong, the finding goes in `BRIEF-CORRECTIONS.md`.

> Okay, just to say to the team that this is pretty cool. I really like it. This is exactly the type of layout, the type of cheekiness and kind of language that I would like this to do. And what it feels, it just needs to tighten out now from a design point of view, and from like the missing images that you have. And like, for example, when you show, you know, when you talk about the like the UI in the beginning, you should show that, etc. But it's pretty cool. I really like it. There's a couple of things where the things are a bit too tight, so you need to move that. And then it'll also be good to experiment a little bit with, for example, showing the timeline where we are, maybe a clock on the right, where you start to show, especially when you start talking about the sequence of events, right? It's important to almost say maybe hour one, hour two, hour three, or something like that. Maybe have some stats that you can show to give a sense of time passing. and that whole thing of just like when the same narrator is speaking or the same agent is speaking, you kind of don't want to keep repeating that because it feels redundant having to read that because I already know that is the same. Although I noticed a couple of times you have a couple like maybe moods or things that he's talking, so I just need to find a way to do that. But and also I really, really like the whole thing of introducing words on this page. That is so well done. But cool, great work. Let's get to, I think we, if you keep doing this, and then actually, can we accelerate now the things? I know if this is running every hour, can we run everybody over hour? I really would like to get this book done now as soon as possible, because if we can get it done by tomorrow, by later today, I can probably still get it some printed copies done. So let's try to make it work.

## How the conductor reads it (not his words)

- **To the whole team: he likes it.** The layout, the cheekiness and the language are what he wants; "words on this page" is singled out as "so well done".
- **What is left is design and pictures:** tighten the layout; a few places are too tight and need room; draw the missing pictures, and show what the text describes (for example, show the player's interface where chapter 1 talks about it).
- **An experiment:** a clock or timeline in the right margin when the text moves through the sequence of events: hour one, hour two, hour three, with a few stats to give a sense of time passing.
- **One head per run, but keep the moods:** the same speaker is not repeated, yet a change of mood within a run still shows (a mood tag without the repeated name and head, for instance).
- **ACC1, at his word: everybody runs every hour** ("can we run everybody over hour?" read as "every hour"), to get the book done as soon as possible: by later today or tomorrow, so he can still get printed copies.
