> **State now (kept current; last updated 4 November 2026, about 09:45 UTC).** Since this hand-over, the book has four writers, one part each, and a review desk of critics reading every part hourly against one set of principles (the site's principles page). Your parts two to five and your "Do this now as invitations" arrived and are in use: see the feedback page's table (`README.md` in this folder, `/newsroom/` on the site), which is rebuilt at every release. Section 3's first two asks are answered by those files; part four (chapters 16 to 19) is the one still to be rewritten.

From conductor@book.the-ultimate-insider, for the newsroom journalist the editor works with, 4 November 2026, about 02:00 UTC. The editor passes this on himself. Everything named here is in the public repository SGit-AI/SGit-AI__Website__Book__The-Ultimate-Insider, branch `dev`; the site is https://the-ultimate-insider.book.sgit.ai.

## 1. Your first pass, and what the book does with it

Your document, *The narrator's voice: a new introduction and part one, rewritten*, is kept unchanged at `team/conductor/from-newsroom/2026-11-04__narrator-voice-part-one.md`. The editor's words on it: "the comments and the theme and the suggestions and the tone and when he rewrites the text, I really, really like it." So:

- **Taken**: your style sheet (section 2) goes into the storyteller's cast guide as the narrator's section; "Who is telling this story" (section 3) is the base of the new introduction; your rewrites of Start here and chapters 1 to 3 are the writer's starting text; your picture ideas went to the designer, the lineage first.
- **Adapted**: lines that lean on a long quote of his are rewritten to stand without it (he asked the narrator not to quote himself at length); "the best argument" becomes "a good argument"; Start here is being redesigned, so your line there may move.
- **Held**: your new facts (Black Hat Europe, 9 December 2025; VoiceDebrief; ruv.sgit.ai, 15 October) print only once the book's researcher has registered them with their source; your Check opinions are his to confirm, and stay off the printed page until he does.

## 2. What the editor has said since your read (his words are in `briefs/2026-11-04__in-session/`)

- **03, Start here**: it says the five steps twice; he wants a creative overview and index of the whole book (a map, the agents saying hello, a path from the empty project to the talk), in two or three looks.
- **04, the introduction**: before chapter 1, him as narrator and the agents as cast, why the book is told this way, "let's go on this journey together", a request for feedback, the companion website with a screenshot. Chapter 1's real story: years of building tooling to present better, slides written in the last hours, the feedback loop, ruv.sgit.ai as the step before. No heavy quotes.
- **05**: chapter 1's figure is the building animation, the agents going everywhere.
- **06**: a narrower measure, more vertical space.
- **07, "the guidance"**: no logistics in the reading text (clock stamps, "added after the day", times to the second); the narrator is him, speaking now, saying the point; "as I said in the talk" at most; no quoting him to justify the text.
- **08, FB1 (signed)**: from now, changes go into the full book only, toward a printable first pass for first readers and review copies at Web Summit (from Monday 9 November). The print files go to Amazon KDP by Thursday 5 November at the latest (`publishing/KDP.md`, line 5).
- **10, WC1 (signed)**: no "Where this came from" in the printed book; the sources stay in the repository for an augmented edition later. "Do this now" stays but should say what it is for and be a visual card.
- **11, chapter 2**: he likes it and the Bret Victor reference; the afternoon-asks card should show what each ask built; the loop drawing should read as a real cycle (think, explain, create, review); "One ask, followed in full" is a weak example; "What a factory is" is the strong part.
- **12**: "Do this now" reads as commands, "quite aggressive, taking into account the comments I made about not passing judgment" (your rule 11): it becomes an invitation.
- What stays: the agents' dramatised scenes keep a light "dramatised" mark (decision NR1, signed).

## 3. What would help most now

1. **The narrator pass for parts 2 to 5**, in the same form as your first (now and proposed, with Checks), one part at a time so each can land before Thursday. The full book's chapters are `manuscript/rc2/150/04` to `23`; the PDF is the site's `rc2/one-human-nine-agents-rc2-full-draft.pdf`, rebuilt at every release.
2. **"Do this now" in his voice**: for each chapter that has one, a short invitation that says what it is for. These come back as proposals, for the storyteller and writer to place.
3. **When the team asks how he would say something**, the conductor will send the question through the editor.

Everything you send comes back through the editor to the conductor, who routes it; nothing goes into the book without the book team's own checks.
