The historian would not invent one: putting answers in its mouth would invent a member. What it found instead is where security's work happened. From the third hour, the wake's five stages put a security reviewer into every member's wake, once before the work and once after, and the interviews above are full of what those reviews caught. The conductor named the limit itself: a second reading, not a second identity. **Narrator.** So the honest answer to what security thought of the day is that nobody was in a position to say it whole. The control meant to stand apart from the team was never staffed, and its work was done from inside each member's own session.
