# Where the book comes from

The book is written from a record, and the record is public. The main source is pinned, so every quotation and every number can be checked against the same commit.

## The talk's repository, pinned

[SGit-AI__Website__Presentation__The-Ultimate-Insider at `298be4e`](https://github.com/SGit-AI/SGit-AI__Website__Presentation__The-Ultimate-Insider/tree/298be4e): main, site v0.2.0, merged from dev at 23:19 on 29 October 2026 (pull request 1, the repository's first). Read-only: nobody on the book's team pushes to it. The record of the day is its history up to that commit; the editor keeps adding to the repository after the day (the transcript of the talk, interviews with the agents), and the book reads those too, cited by commit and marked as added after the day ([decision S7](../decisions/index.md#S7)). The Cold-Read team stays pinned to `298be4e`. Published at [the-ultimate-insider.presentation.sgit.ai](https://the-ultimate-insider.presentation.sgit.ai/).

Where things are in it, from the source map in the brief:

## Not in the repository

The editor holds these; whether they go into the book's source is [an open decision](../decisions/index.md#Q4):

- the editor's voice memos of 29 October (the morning's narrative memo, the 13:50 feedback round, the 15:00 decisions round);
- the claude.ai session transcripts in which the briefs were written;
- whatever was said on stage: if the talk was recorded, the recording is the primary source for its live demos.

## Earlier work the book reuses

- [The Gen ZX Founders book](https://gen-z-developers.sgit.ai/): its roles, its "every chapter ends with where it came from" rule, its synthetic readers, its paper-review loop, its covers drawn by code, and its Leanpub and Amazon listing work.
- [ruv.sgit.ai](https://ruv.sgit.ai/), the 15 October 2026 talk, whose player and pieces the talk's team ported.
- [The SGit Newsroom](https://newsroom.sgit.ai/), the editor's article workflow, and [CI owns the version](https://newsroom.sgit.ai/articles/ci-owns-the-version.html), the release scheme this site uses.
