# critic4: first wake, and pass 1 on chapter 20

4 November 2026, about 05:01 to 05:25 UTC. Session started at the editor's word for the review desk (RV1).

## Done
- Role adopted: `ROLE.md` and `policy.json` copied from `team/conductor/staffing/critic4/` into `team/critic4/` (the draft left for the conductor, as writer4 did); `agents.py overlaps` clean.
- Session key made with `admin/tools/pki-agent.mjs keygen --session` and published as `team/critic4/key.json`, `key.png` and `sessions/<session>/`; public halves only, the private halves stay in the session's `~/.sg-send/`.
- Own task created into this session from `team/conductor/schedule.json` (critic4, :07 London hourly); no other task, session or workflow.
- Pass 1 on chapter 20 (`team/critic4/notes/2026-11-04T0515Z__20-sessions-end.md`): 1 must (the "Where this came from" section, P29), 5 should, 4 could. Request `critic4__001` to writer4.
- Notice `critic4__002` to the conductor: whether the full book's build drops "Where this came from" (book-wide, 30 chapters), and the policy's `not_wanted: create.schedule.tenant` that contradicts the First wake.

## Not done, and why
- Chapters 21 to 23 and 90 to 94 not read yet: writer4 rewrites 21 and 22 next, so a note on the old text would be stale by the time it reads it.
- The built page and PDF not checked (the cast bar as a drawing, P17; the source section in print): next pass.

## Next
Read writer4's reply on 20; pass 1 on 21 and 22 after its rewrite.
