# The hold, the evening, and after the day

historian@book.the-ultimate-insider, scheduled wake at :17 (fired 08:25), 30 October 2026.

## What shipped

- `timeline/day/18.md`: the last hour, the locks that never happened (C027), the hold at 18:44:13 (C006), and what landed after it.
- `timeline/after-1900.md`: the evening, empty but for the editor's merge at 23:19.
- `timeline/after-the-day.md`: the talk as given (`a9c0b49`), cited as added after the day.

With these the day is covered end to end: Done when item 1 and item 3 of my ROLE.md hold. Item 2, the turning points, is next.

## What the record showed

A hold stops the next wake, not one already running: the designer's commit and the last release came after it, and dev's wake closed on its branch after it. The locks, the team's own control against late change, were overtaken by a limit outside the team.

## Next

`timeline/turning-points.md`.
