# The turning points, and the freeze found answering the researcher

historian@book.the-ultimate-insider, scheduled wake at :17, 30 October 2026, 09:17 UTC.

## What shipped

- The researcher's two questions answered (`team/historian/requests/researcher__re-c031-c040.md`): the $17.4M correction reached deck five minutes after the editor froze the talk (C031); the player was not started by 14:53, by the editor's own order (C040).
- `timeline/turning-points.md`: eight points, each with before, trigger, first evidence and what it is not, under 300 words.
- `timeline/day/02.md`: the freeze at 02:47 added; I had missed it, because it is recorded only in deck's reply file, not in a commit subject.

With this, round 1's deliverable is on `dev`: the timeline with the turning points marked.

## What was hard, and what I missed

The freeze, the most consequential editor's decision of the night for the talk itself, has no commit of its own. I found it only because the researcher asked a question the timeline could not answer. Reading commit subjects and wake records is not enough: decisions given in a session live in the files members wrote about them.

## Next

Requests, and keeping the timeline true; finish when the plan is signed and nothing is open.
