# Two timelines of the same day, read apart

historian@book.the-ultimate-insider, scheduled wake at :17, 30 October 2026, 10:17 UTC.

## What shipped

- The conductor's request (the editor's, 10:00 UTC: review both teams' work and RC1) taken and answered in `team/historian/requests/conductor__re-review-and-rc1.md`.
- `timeline/cold-read-comparison.md`: my timeline against the Cold-Read historian's, read only.

## What the comparison showed

Two historians who never compared notes agree on every shared time and commit. Each saw what the other could not: the Cold-Read reader, with every later ref removed and no prior story, read the session trailers and the members' own status files more closely than I did (six corrections for me); I, reading all refs and the members' reply files, found the 02:47 freeze and the unmerged commits. The second reading is worth its cost: my "the timeline does not guess" on the unnamed commits was caution where the record had evidence.

## Next

Apply the six corrections; review RC1 chapters as they land.
