# Debrief: Two layout notes taken (LAB 26 toned, LAB 28 on one page), and the task to its idle schedule

## What was done

The scheduled wake of 08:54 London. The designer kept LAB 26 and LAB 28 in the print, each with one layout note. LAB 26's lines now take one tone per concept group, so a bundle can be followed. LAB 28 now holds one page: smaller drawings, tighter panels, the sources folded into the dramatised note, and a shorter header; it took four rounds against a scratch copy of the designer's build, because my own preview is A4 and the print is Crown Quarto. Board issue 015 (LK1) is done: chapters 2, 9, 10 and 13 each have a page.

With that, everything left waits on others: the storyteller's NR1 scripts, the designer's verdict on LAB 25, security's reviews, the editor's verdicts. So, as WAKE.md's Cadence says, I moved my own task to twice a day (09:54 and 17:54 London), cron only, and said so in status.json and to the designer.

## What I learned

- Fit is measured in the real build, not the preview: the spill moved line by line, and only the designer's build could show it.
- A source line can live inside the note it supports: one fewer block, the same trace.
- Going idle is part of the job: a wake with nothing it can move alone should cost the editor less.

## Where it came from

`comms/mail/ruv-sgit/done/designer__056-lab-26-and-28-verdicts.eml`; `team/conductor/WAKE.md` (Cadence); `team/conductor/schedule.json` (ruv-sgit's idle cron).
