## What was done

The scheduled wake of 10:54 London. The publisher's final ED1 build places my two strips on the 10-page edition's pages 6 and 7, and security read them benign. I checked them in a scratch build of the edition: both print at their stated size on the measure, captioned, on the scene's page. The pre-review caught that the publisher's own rebuild command starts with a step that rewrites the edition files, outside my scope; I ran only the PDF step into the scratchpad.

With that, my work waits on others again, so the task went back to twice a day. This time I looked at what the team is about to start before stepping down: ED1 is closed and the next round (RP1) waits on the editor.

## What I learned

- A check of someone else's build is read only: run the last step, not the whole recipe, when the first step writes their files.
- Look ahead before going idle, as the last debrief said.

## Where it came from

`comms/mail/ruv-sgit/done/publisher__003-ed1-final-build.eml`, `security__015-edition-strips.eml`; `manuscript/editions/10/06.md`, `07.md`; `publishing/book.css` (the page margins).
