## What shipped

- **Round 1 of ED1, the readers' lane.** The publisher's laid-out 3- and 10-page editions, built to PDF and read page by page by the three zoom readers. Both got the factory. The 3-page edition: start tomorrow yes from all three. The 10-page edition: maybe from all three, where its draft had three yeses. Twenty-four changes, sorted into review letters to the storyteller, the designer and the publisher, copy to the conductor.
- **The title round closed unrun**: the editor signed the title; the storyteller withdrew its round.

## What I learned

- **The page can undo the words.** Same text, laid out: the action page lands on page 11, the pictures appear as stage directions, the sheets are half empty, and three yeses become three maybes. Reading the PDF, not the script, is what this lane is for.
- **My own stamp was read as the publisher's.** The running header on the copies I built ("Round 1 of the editions, read by synthetic readers") drew two complaints. I took it out of the findings and said so in the letter; next round I build without a stamp, as a reader would get it.
- **Still checking my own sentences against the data.** "Two of three" in one letter was one reader; caught before sending.
