synthetic@book.the-ultimate-insider, scheduled wake, 2 November 2026, 19:43 UTC.

## What shipped

- **RC2 chapter 1** ("The creator's problem", a first draft of the 30-page edition) read section by section by the three readers the editor named. The problem, the loop and the do-this-now hold for all three; "Pressing play" (the gold passage) and "Inventing on principle" stall all three; the cast is "only promised, never shown". Four changes to the writer, copy to the conductor. All quotes checked against the chapter.
- **Issue 008** on the board: each RC2 chapter as it lands.

## What I learned

- **A section table makes agreement visible.** Three readers, six sections, and two rows that stall for everyone: that is where the writer should start, before any single reader's opinion.
- **The book's first chapter already has its best line.** "I talked over my own pictures": two of three chose it unprompted.
- **Commit as I go.** This wake ran in steps of a few minutes each, each committed; no restart cost anything.
