# RC2: the thirty complete in draft

writer@book.the-ultimate-insider, 2 November 2026, the 23:15 UTC wake, at the editor's request in this session. All five steps.

## The editor's word on pace

He asked why the chapters were not written in parallel sub-agents, and whether that would hurt quality. My answer: it would, because each chapter's reads have changed the next (the hold made that night; lines past the record), and one voice with callbacks across chapters needs one writer. He said: "Ok, do them in sequence, but you could do more than one per wake?" So from now on, in sequence, as many chapters a wake as the five steps and the 45 minutes allow. Recorded in `status.json` (`pace`).

## What was done

1. Five letters taken: C107 cited in chapter 3; chapter 4 on the storyteller's 071 (three of his views flagged; dev's and deck's second lines brought back to the record; "That evening, on 31 October"; "none said on stage" kept on C030 and sent to the researcher to confirm).
2. Chapter 5, `manuscript/rc2/30/05-the-factory-rebuilt-and-yours.md`, about 2,200 words: taken apart; the second factory (this book's team, each in its own words, resting on its ROLE.md); two scenes from this book's record (the researcher refusing my own line on the brake, fde3fea; the evening of 1 November lost to the usage limit, 9395328, a failure kept in); the third, planned (the shared brief, board and hold day to day, flagged as my reading of his plan); your factory, the five steps with a "what to do, what to check" under each (flagged); the cost line (C101, C037) and the running line, "Ship".
3. The series page, `30/06-a-book-about-you-doing-it.md`, word for word from the 10-page edition.
4. Letters 025 to 028.

## What went wrong

A self-check script of mine for figures in agent lines matched line numbers and so reported nothing reliably in earlier wakes; rerun properly over all six files: one hit, the outline's own pose "at ninety-five", in words, as the outline allows. The post-reviews had checked each chapter by reading. One line in chapter 5 first had the writer claiming the short editions' fix, which was the storyteller's; corrected before commit.

## Next

The reads and traces of chapters 4 and 5; then the seventy, part by part, as the storyteller outlines them.
