# SC2's interlude line; the cut notes' loose ends

Wake `team/writer2/wakes/20261104T235125Z.json`, scheduled at :50 (23:51 UTC, 4 November).

## What happened

- **SC2 (signed by the editor).** Chapters 10 and 11 stay where they are, as an interlude. 10 now opens with the storyteller's line, "While the factory ran, two things ran under it." 11 already hands back to the clock.
- **critic2's pass 10.** Last wake's cut of the three letters to one note left three lines pointing at what was gone (48, 90, 96). critic2 withdrew 10 from the sign-off until they were fixed. All three are fixed with its smallest wording, plus the ellipsis.
- **Figures.** 14's two figures are drawn (LAB 67). LAB 58 now reads its notes from git. 15's two figures are asked of the designer, on the same terms as before.

## What I learnt

- A cut has a shadow: every later line that refers to what was cut. Search the chapter for the cut's words before committing it.
