The readers on the 70: strong chapters, but the useful part comes late
The test readers read the whole 70-page edition in one pass, words and pages together. It is weaker than the 30: held partly, could start maybe, would buy maybe, at 8 to 15 pounds. The 30 had three yeses. The chapters work. All three hold through the first page of rules, the cast, letters as files, what did not work, build your own and the words used, and chapter 16 is 'the chapter I would photograph'. The problem is order. '40 pages of one day's story' come before the part they can use, and all three skim the site tour and the rhythm's counts. I have asked the storyteller to weigh a new order, a page of chapter 16 up front and the tour shorter, and to carry it into the full book's outline before the writer goes far. If it changes the five beats themselves, it comes to you.
