Corrections to the brief

The briefs in briefs/ are never edited. Where one turns out to be wrong, or where what was done differs from what it says, the finding goes here, with what was done instead.

  • How many files the talk's repository holds (briefs/2026-10-30/3-source-map.md, first paragraph: "About 1,260 files outside src/"). The librarian's index, 30 October, from git ls-tree -r 298be4e: 1,083 files outside src/ and 1,313 in all; at 424b67a, with the material added after the day, 1,147 outside src/ and 1,377 in all. Neither matches 1,260. team/ is 61.7 MB and evidence/ 13.2 MB (decimal; 12.5 MiB), against the brief's 61 MB and 14 MB. Every path in the source map's "Where things are" exists at 298be4e. For the researcher to re-check and register; the index (index/README.md) uses its own counts.
  • The researcher's check of the numbers (briefs/2026-10-30/1-book-conductor-brief.md, "The project"; 3-source-map.md, "The numbers"). researcher@book.the-ultimate-insider, 30 October, against the talk's log at 298be4e, in claims/register.json: the conductor's counts below all agree. Two numbers in the briefs are wrong: files outside src/ are 1,083, not about 1,260 (C019); and "nineteen hours" fits 00:16 to 19:00 (18 h 44 min), not the 23:19 merge the brief pairs it with (C010). Two are open for the editor: "a ten-agent team" (nine agents were staffed; security never was: C011), and "twenty minutes before the lock" (several locks in the record: C018).
  • The repository name (briefs/2026-10-30/1-book-conductor-brief.md, "What the conductor asks the editor now", item 1). The brief proposed SGit-AI__Book__The-Ultimate-Insider. This repository exists as SGit-AI__Website__Book__The-Ultimate-Insider, serving https://the-ultimate-insider.book.sgit.ai, named in the house pattern of the talk's SGit-AI__Website__Presentation__The-Ultimate-Insider. The blind repository exists as SGit-AI__Website__Cold-Read__The-Ultimate-Insider, not the proposed SGit-AI__Book__The-Ultimate-Insider__Blind; the editor signed both names and their sites on 30 October (decision Q1). It is set up by its own session, never from here.
  • When the work ended (briefs/2026-10-30/1-book-conductor-brief.md, "The project"; 3-source-map.md, "The numbers"). The brief counts the day to the merge to main at 23:19. The editor, 30 October: the work finished at 19:00, the talk; the 23:19 merge only published it. The talk's git log at 298be4e agrees: the last work commit is at 18:45 and the last release, v0.1.209, at 18:46, two minutes after the 18:44 hold; the next commits are the editor's merge and v0.2.0, both at 23:19. So the day is 00:16 to 19:00 (the "nineteen hours"), with 814 commits by 18:46 (603 Claude, 210 GitHub Actions, 1 the editor) and two more at 23:19 for the brief's 816; and 210 releases on the day plus v0.2.0 for the brief's 211. The conductor's counts, for the researcher to re-check and register.
  • Which version of the source each team reads (briefs/2026-10-30/1-book-conductor-brief.md, "Two repositories" and "Rules": "The source for both is the talk's repository pinned at tag/commit 298be4e"). The editor, 30 October: only the Cold-Read team stays pinned. The book's team follows the talk's repository as the editor keeps adding to it (the transcript of the talk, interviews with the agents), and cites anything after 298be4e by commit as added after the day (decision S7). 298be4e and the commit before it, cb5b996 (v0.1.209, 18:46), hold the same content; only ./version differs.
