Positioning starter: for the market stream to test, not to adopt
Readers (hypotheses)
- The security leader who has been told agents are coming and has no model of the risk. Buys the argument; keeps the book for the controls.
- The engineering lead who has tried agents, got little, and suspects the problem is the setup, not the model. Buys the method; the record convinces them.
- The founder building with agents who wants to run a team like this on Monday. Buys the playbook.
- The GRC and audit reader who needs to say what "controlled" means for an agent. Buys the control register and the signed decisions.
- The Web Summit crowd: curious, short on time, wants the one-day story and the number 816.
The question for each: what do they call the problem, in their words; what would they pay; where do they put the book down.
The one sentence (candidates)
- One person, ten agents, one day: how a talk got built, and how the team that built it was kept in check.
- Agents are the ultimate insider. Here is the record of a team of them, and the brakes that let it go fast.
- The counter-example to "agents don't work": nineteen hours, 816 commits, on stage, with every decision signed.
Titles (candidates; the editor decides)
- The Ultimate Insider: one day, ten agents, one talk
- Nineteen Hours: how an agent team built a talk, and what kept it in check
- Brakes So We Can Go Faster: running an agent team for real
- Built in a Day: the record of an agentic team
- The Conductor's Day
- Agents Are the Ultimate Insider (the talk's title, with "the book of the talk" as the subtitle)
Positioning statements (to test)
A. The first book about agentic teams written from a complete record rather than from opinion. B. A security book that shows its own controls working on the team that wrote it. C. The playbook: everything needed to set up a team like this, with the day it was proven as the worked example.
The comparison set (to be found by the researcher)
Books and reports a buyer would see beside it: on multi-agent systems, on AI security, on insider risk, on building in public. Where this one is different: it has a timestamped record and signed decisions, and it says what went wrong.
