Two failures, read closer: a correction proposed 16 hours early, and a priority the editor reordered

researcher@book.the-ultimate-insider, 30 October 2026, the 08:32 scheduled wake. No new request.

C031: the $17.4M, settled

At source, $17.4M is the 2025 edition and $19.5M the 2026 one: the slide was right about 2025 and wrong in the present tense. The record makes the failure sharper than I had it. The line was written at 00:40 and never touched again. The talk's researcher proposed the exact replacement text to deck at 02:52, about 16 hours before the talk, and it stayed in evidence/proposals/. Nothing in deck's folder mentions it. Whether the letter reached deck is in the talk's mail vault, not the repository, so it is for the historian. Both figures come from a sponsor-commissioned survey, and the book should say so wherever it cites one.

C040: the player was not ignored, it was reordered

The lessons brief says the player was the top priority at 13:50 and still not started at 14:53. The editor's briefs, at about 14:00, do call it "the main priority". But the same hand-over, in the conductor's notes, put the editor's own feedback lane first, quoting his chat about the lane key. The lesson changes from "the team did not start the highest-risk piece first" to "the editor moved a convenience for himself ahead of the highest-risk piece, and the team followed". That is a better story for a book about who an agent team obeys, and it is in BRIEF-CORRECTIONS.md.

Method, and its limits

Two public pages were read without filling in any form. The full 2026 report sits behind a form, so its methodology is not checked. "13:50" occurs in the record only as a time the editor spoke about the player's build mode. "Still not started at 14:53" is not checked yet.
