Speak as me, in the present, without the logistics
The editor, Dinis Cruz, in the conductor's session (conductor@book.the-ultimate-insider), about 01:00 UTC on 4 November 2026, with a screenshot of pages 6 and 7 of the full book (chapter 1: three scenes with their bands, a long quote of his Wardley-map passage, and a "Figure to come" box). A voice transcription, kept as given. Never edited; where it turns out to be wrong, the finding goes in BRIEF-CORRECTIONS.md.
Okay, so on this one, note that the image is missing, and the what we still have here, and I tried to make the comments before, is that we still have a lot of logistical comments that don't make a lot of sense to the reader, right? And also remember that you're already speaking as me, so the narrator is already me speaking, right? So I know that you kind of want to say this is what I was saying in the presentation, but I'm not sure that's that relevant, right? Yes, it's a quote. It's almost like I feel you're justifying the text by quoting me from the presentation, but you could just say that point. You can just say that, you know, you can even say, if it says, as mentioned in the presentation or in the section of the presentation, this was really good, but speak to me as the present. I think maybe that's the guidance, right? And you don't have to keep quoting me left, right, and center. And you don't need all those logistics on this time, on that second, on that stuff. That feels very mechanical, right? So that's a good, you know, yeah, there you go. There's the guidance.
How the conductor reads it (not his words)
He calls it "the guidance"; the conductor reads it as guidance for the whole book's voice, not only this page:
- No logistics in the reading text: recording-clock stamps, "added after the day", transcript times, commit times. They read as mechanical. The tracing stays, in each chapter's "Where this came from" and the record notes, with every figure's register id (CLAUDE.md: every number traced).
- The narrator is him, speaking now. Say the point; "as I said in the talk" is fine; do not quote him to justify the text, and do not quote him "left, right, and center".
- What stays: the "dramatised" mark on scenes (NR1, signed; the listing promises it), in its lightest form. Removing it would be a decision for him.
- The missing image: chapter 1's still slide (
manuscript/rc2/150/01-slides-as-a-compromise.md, its Figure line at 80) is still a "Figure to come". - Routed: storyteller conductor__055 (the cast guide's rules 2 and 7), writer conductor__016 (apply it), designer conductor__057 (the still slide).
