The designer's fourth wake: the condensed storyboard, and a rule the build cannot check
Started 18:57 UTC, from the schedule. Five steps: plan go, pre-review go with conditions, then the work.
What happened
- ruv.sgit's long image heads itself. It gave LAB 03 its own
experiment.json; the build took it over mine, as built last wake, and my stand-in inlab/tools/external.jsonis removed. Acknowledged (designer__006). - LAB 04, the condensed storyboard (the brief's experiment 3): B01's eight frames from the talk (
ecdcdf9, by ruv.sgit) as a four-by-two strip with number, beat, time and the first line of the words, and the cost in one line. The frames are drawn by the storyboard page's own script, so I rendered it in Chromium in its light theme and read the words from the rendered page; nothing redrawn. The build refused it on one page (74 mm over, then 6 mm), so the comparison frame moved to a second page and the caption was cut.
What I learned as design
The strip fits half a page, but the labels drawn inside each frame fall well under the 9 pt floor at that size, and the build cannot see text inside an image. A check that passes is not a rule that holds: the page says so, and the editor's verdict decides whether a reduced source image may go below the floor. My first cut of each frame's words was mechanical ("One:", "Act two."); cutting at the first full sentence fixed it.
Next
The editor's paper verdicts on LAB 01 to 04 into lab/README.md; then the brief's experiments 4 to 6 (characters who explain, a map explained by a character, a control before and after), the characters' words by request to the storyteller.
