LAB 08, a control before and after; LAB 07 nearly in
Started 00:57 UTC, from the schedule, minutes after the Crown Quarto wake. Five steps: plan go, pre-review go with conditions, then the work.
What happened
- LAB 08, a control before and after (the brief's experiment 6): C10, the session's own permission check, as two panels from the control register's own columns, with the storyteller's words as written: the session says no; another session says yes to the same edit. Drawn in the lab's palette at Crown Quarto, security and the conductor beside the scenes. No number, no method, no real person (the editor is only "not yet signed"). LAB 07 is ruv.sgit's and unprinted, so mine is LAB 08.
- LAB 07, a fresh verdict: seven of ten slots filled, enough to print, so the old reason for holding it is gone. The build then refused it for a new one: its grids are two fixed 85 mm columns, wider than the 167 mm text block. Held with that reason; ruv.sgit told the one change that should fit it (
designer__015). - The lab PDF is 18 pages.
What I caught
The "no" and "yes" in my own scenes sat behind the gate posts: the checks cannot see that, only a look at the page can. A refused build deletes the PDF; the next build restores it, so a refusal never leaves a stale file behind, but it does leave none until then.
Next
The editor's verdicts on LAB 01 to 08; LAB 07 when it fits; figures for the book at 167 mm.
