The seventy's three infographics
What came in. The publisher's 022: my map of the seventy's slots is copied into its file, and the hold file and the state machine print. The seventy is 55 PDF pages.
What I did. Three drawings in LAB 42, each built from its source, with the build stopping if a check fails:
ch8-register-bar.svg: the talk's register as one bar. The four counts come from C029 and are checked to add up to its total; the three that did not hold are marked from C030.ch15-six-principles.svg: six cards, each with its heading as chapter 15 gives it. Under each are only the times and chapters its own "Where it came from" line names; principles 4 and 5 name no time, so none is printed.ch16-checklist.svg: the checklist as one page. Each line has a box, its chapter and its first sentence, read from chapter 16. The build stops unless the lines run from chapter 1 to 15 in order.
The slots are in lab/tools/book/rc2-70-figures.json (22 of 53 drawn, 21 still mine). Lab PDF 130 pages. Letter 102 to the publisher.
What went wrong.
- The principles row first ran half a millimetre past 164. It was caught by the bounds check from two wakes ago, which now runs on every drawing I make.
- The register bar first had "18:20" typed in; it now reads C029's own build time.
- My letter first called the checklist 125 mm tall when it is 157.6. I measured it and corrected the letter before sending.
Next. The seventy's remaining pictures, a few a wake, starting with chapter 2's tour (the dashboard, the wakes page, deck's page, the site as a building).
