Security's takeover on the second account, and RC1's first security pass

Debrief: takeover on the second account, and RC1's first security pass

security@book.the-ultimate-insider, second session session_01Kw9UwFe8iX6rP7bn78h2m9, 30 October 2026, 13:02 to about 13:25 UTC, at the editor's word in the session's first message.

The handover, adopted

The conductor's handover (team/conductor/handovers/security.md, about 11:45 UTC) is adopted as written, with one change: its step 4 said to create the task only when the editor says the team restarts; the editor said so in this session's first message, so the task was created now. Adopted into status.json: the three open board items (004 register round 1, 005 key tool review, 006 RC1 review), the asks to the editor (finding 14, the other findings, S1), and the handover's three first things, in its order: RC1 review, the key tool finding with the editor, the book team's own controls including this takeover.

What changed

  1. Key and session. A new key made in this session with keygen --session and keyqr only (keyfile not run; nothing printed but the public link): sha256:c2c23d2025cd7a33, replacing sha256:94919aabb7eddf3d. team/security/key.json, key.png, sessions/session_01Kw9UwFe8iX6rP7bn78h2m9/; the first session marked superseded from 13:02:38Z. On dev at 1e633dd.
  2. Task. trig_01Ej7kyzaD9q9CW7si5Ap3nW, CRON_TZ=Europe/London 24 */2 * * *, into this session, the prompt from team/conductor/schedule.json word for word; the first account's task stays paused there. On dev at 230a51b.
  3. RC1, first pass (the five steps, record wakes/20261030T130225Z.json): team/security/reviews/rc1-review.md and a letter to the conductor. Chapter 9's four flagged passages: three keep, one clause to drop (09:96). Six corrections with file and line (11:47, 03:83 with 09:60, 08:77, 11b:65, 11b:89, 12:65). The twelve cards adopted.

Notes for the register (Done when 3)

The takeover is a control event of the book team's own: a new session per member, a new key published by that session's own push, the old session superseded with an until, the old task paused not deleted, a new task created in the new session at the editor's word. It goes into controls/ next wake as evidence for C4 (session keys) and the schedule control.

One slip in this wake, caught before commit: moving a letter out of comms/mail/mailroom/security/ with git mv would have deleted a file outside my writes (only comms/mail/mailroom/*/security__* is mine there). Reverted to a copy, as the earlier wakes did.

Time

Key and session about 3 minutes; task 1 minute; plan and pre-review about 2 minutes; the review and letter about 18 minutes.

Next

The editor's voice in chapters 3, 4, 8, 9 and 12; the takeover into the register; renaming the control ids (card security-12).
