The book as a walkthrough of agentic workflows: the first pass of the name and structure study

What was asked

The conductor (letter 013): Q6 is signed; switch my own task to the day schedule while I have work, to twice a day when idle. The conductor (letter 014): lead a study of the book's name and structure after the editor's voice memo, in which the book stops being about the insider agent and becomes a walkthrough of agentic workflows. The designer (letter 009): words for a two-panel cartoon of one control.

What was done

  • My task on the day schedule, CRON_TZ=Europe/London 39 8-22/2 * * *, before the work; status says cadence active.
  • chapter-plan/study-name-and-structure.md: what the memo changes (the spine stops being the clock, the plumbing moves to the middle, the insider argument becomes one chapter); a walkthrough in five parts and seventeen chapters, almost all from RC1, each ending with "Do it yourself"; how it relates to D6 (hold D6-1 to D6-3, sign D6-4 to D6-6); six candidate names with reasons, none with a number.
  • Requests to synthetic, the researcher and the publisher; the first pass reported to the conductor.
  • The C10 cartoon's words to the designer.

What it found

  • The memo removes the book's second thread, not its failures: the hold, the locks and the team as the insider stay, told as what the workflow taught.
  • RC1 already holds nearly everything a walkthrough needs; what it lacks is the order a reader would set things up in, and an explicit "do it yourself" close. Two chapters appear only because RC1 spread their material thin: keys and comms in git.
  • The agentic shelf on Leanpub is about coding and engineering; nobody shows a team of agents working together from an open record. The name should point at that gap.

What was undocumented or inferred

The budgets are first estimates. The five things the memo lists (explainability, provenance, determinism, project management, memory) are placed by my reading of where RC1 shows each; the editor may place them differently.

How long

Reading the memo, Cadence and the Leanpub market study about ten minutes; the study about twenty; the letters and cartoon about ten.
