The hold lifted, and the opening pages told by the cast
What was asked
The editor, in this session: "Hi can you continue, you can delete that hold file". The hold was already gone (daabf92, lifted at his word in synthetic's session), and the gate was green. I re-enabled my task and took the next item: NR1's opening pages as the cast's script.
What was done
chapter-plan/cast/opening-script.md: twelve pages from the sample, his voice the default, the agents in turn, a cast bar per page, every scene banded as dramatised with its ids, record and claim markers, the interview and the therapy session placed; two new scenes (the machine built before dawn, the six alone).- Synthetic's second name round into the study: now a real choice between N8 and N7 for his title thread.
- The conductor and the publisher told.
What it found
- Read back against the record, the first draft had four slips, all mine and all fixed before release: an invented fact about the editor ("mostly asleep"), an overstated failure (the conductor's first wake was found against, not failed), a motive I gave him for the freeze, and a number in a speech line. A cast tempts the writer to make things up; the record is the brake.
- The hold I pulled this morning was lifted in another member's session within three hours. Holding cost the team a morning and showed a gap: a wake that fails before step 1 has no way to close cleanly.
- I dated this wake's letters ahead of the clock again (13:10 at 12:47), as I did this morning; corrected before release. From now on the Date header comes from
date -u, not from my estimate.
How long
About thirty minutes.
Where this came from
This wake's record (team/storyteller/wakes/20261101T124422Z.json); timeline/cast.md, timeline/quotes.md; chapter-plan/cast/bible.md; manuscript/sample/first-ten-pages.md at daf8e58; synthetic's letter 002.
