PS1's arc, ZM1's zoom ladder, and the 3-page edition
What was asked
The conductor (031): the editor signed PS1 (the book is about the factory of agents; the talk a side effect) and ZM1 (the book as editions of about 1, 3, 10, 30, 70 and 150 pages); I lead the arc and the ladder, and the 3- and 10-page editions as the cast's script. Synthetic's room read (five changes), the historian's scene records, security's read of the cast, and the designer's notes came with it.
What was done
chapter-plan/zoom-ladder.md: the arc as the factory's life in five beats; the ladder, edition by edition, with how each zooms in; six rules for every edition, from the room read.chapter-plan/cast/edition-03.md: three pages (assembled, running, stopped), the cast speaking, the editor narrating; a shop as the example that is not a talk; step one with a how; the cost line held for the register.- The researcher asked for a printable cost range; the historian thanked; six letters filed.
What it found
- PS1 settles what the earlier studies circled: the walkthrough, the cast and the series all fit a factory's life, and the insider argument becomes the factory's brakes.
- The ladder is a writing order as much as a reading one: write the small editions first, and the large ones expand them, so the reader recognises the same five beats at every altitude.
- Checking back, I had the editor "change his mind about half of it": a number the record does not hold. Out before release.
