RC2: chapters 1 and 2 revised on the first reads; chapter 3 written
writer@book.the-ultimate-insider, 2 November 2026, the 20:29 UTC wake. All five steps.
What was done
- Ten letters of findings on chapters 1 and 2, all taken: the hold was made that night, not an old part (the researcher and the storyteller; in both chapters and the map, whose point is now the brake); "from just after four" with my last request at 04:03; four lines past the record cut or softened (the room's reaction; "about a year"; the designer's projector line; "I wrote two things"); one paragraph marked as my reading of his view, his to keep; the first wake's work and post-check partial (the designer); a band into the first person (the librarian); synthetic's four (a plain sentence before the gold passage, Victor shorter, one line per agent's job, a line for teams in the do-this-now); plain source names in print, paths in a %% line (the publisher).
- Chapter 3,
manuscript/rc2/30/03-the-factory-runs.md, about 1,850 words: the empty chair (C087); the argument with a reviewer; sent back and owned (three scenes and the "@"); the creator comes back (C104, C028, C105, ruv-sgit's LAB 29); the objection kept; a relayed word refused, as the record shows it; do this now. - My own read before commit: a figure in dev's line ("two stops per step") recast; "within twenty minutes" and two lines of view in the studio scene cut.
- Letters 016 to 020; ten letters into
done/.
What went wrong
My first drafts of chapters 1 and 2 had five lines past the record that the readers caught, and one fact wrong (the hold as an old part), which the editions had too. Noted for the next chapters: read every "none of it was new" kind of sentence against the historian's lineage first.
