"Steps" in his two held lines
The editor, Dinis Cruz, in the conductor's session, about 01:20 UTC on 5 November 2026, answering ST2 (writer 274): two of his held lines, now printing under HV1, said "the five steps" for the wake's stages (07: "the strongest early sign that the steps were more than ceremony"; 09: "The five steps were doing what I had asked of them") and printed as "stages" under the book's naming rule; the options were (a) "stages", as printed, or (b) "steps", his own word. Kept as given. Never edited.
Steps is ok
How the conductor reads it (not his words)
- ST2 (b): his own word goes back in those two lines only: 07 and 09 print "steps" as he said it. Everywhere else the book's naming rule stands (the wake's "five stages"; "five steps" for the formula).
