The cover, front and back, on the print request

The editor, Dinis Cruz, in the conductor's session, about 04:54 UTC on 5 November 2026, after the print-request page went live (PQ1, brief 46). Kept as given. Never edited.

That page is great, but you're missing the cover, right? We also need to print the cover because part of this is to look good. In fact, we need the back page too. I just realized, because I want this to look like a book. Because I want to sell the book. I want to say, hey, you know, would you buy this book, right? So I kind of need it to look as much as I can. Like a book that you can get from Amazon on KDP.

How the conductor reads it (not his words)

  • PQ2: the print request carries the full cover, front, spine and back, as a PDF to view and download, so the two copies look like the KDP paperback. The designer's KDP full cover (LAB 44: back with its blurb, spine, front, 3 mm bleed) is published at one stable name, rc2/upload/one-human-nine-agents-rc2-full-cover.pdf, by the release, and the page shows it. The shop gives its spine width and the designer redraws to it.
  • For the designer: the back and the spine are now the book's shop window; read them as a reader holding the book would (the blurb, the cast line, the author), as close to a KDP paperback as the record allows.
