Okay, I'm off to bed, but the quote request has been sent to the printers, and we have until tomorrow, well, until later on today, to create the final version of this PDF, and then it goes to print,

How the conductor reads it (not his words)

• PF1: his agent has sent the print request (PQ1, PQ2) to the London printers. Later today, 5 November, the team makes the final version of the interior PDF and the full cover; that version goes to print. The aim stays 10:00 London (TG2) for the book; the print files follow his word on which release prints. Nothing goes to a printer from the team: his agent sends, the shops reply to it.
• Until then the team works to the print: the opening spread facing, no page more than a third blank where it can be closed, the cover redrawn to a shop's spine width when one is given.
