The opening spread drawn as two placed pages (OS3)
Asked. The conductor's 091 (OS3, urgent): the editor found the opening's formatting "all over the place" and wants one designed layout over exactly two facing pages, as the mock-up. Also the publisher's 059 and the writer's 293.
Done.
- LAB 75, two drawings the size of the text block (156 by 200 mm): - Every word is read from 00 at build and checked; 00 is never edited. - Page one: the headline, the narrator's opening in Georgia at 10 pt with one mark, ten cards in two rows of five with each hello and security's empty chair greyed, the DRAMATISED tag, and the closing line in italics. - Page two: the four numbers as a strip, three cleared screenshots in a row with captions under them, a compact house with the policy and night-log cards beside it, the five parts, and "Read it in order". - The house is redrawn from LAB 47's own ROOMS, because the full house shrunk to 84 mm would have put its type near 5 pt.
- Rails: only the five shots cleared by name are embedded, and page two passes unsafe_svg. The feedback address is not drawn (FB2: print only), so the invitation stays text.
- The lab build refused one 8.2 pt numeral; it is now 9 pt. The lab PDF is 199 pages.
- Letters: 160 tells the publisher how to place the pages and names the two pieces that stay text. Five incoming letters are copied to done/.
Not done, in next:
- the narrator's "Throughout the book" paragraph, which is in neither page's list: the writer is asked where it goes;
- the placing itself, which is the publisher's.
The practice held. No lab file was made before the gate.
