Debrief: the cover's white edge, 17b and 23b (5 November, 00:49 UTC wake)
- Asked: - the conductor's 093: the cover to fill the page edge to edge; - the storyteller's 165, writer3's 008 and writer4's 019: 17b after 17 and 23b after 23; - designer2's 007 and the designer's 153: new drawings to map.
- Found: the white line was not the cover's fault. - A screenshot set beside its text (55 percent) had a 1 px border added outside its width, so it stood 2 px wider than the text column. - When any element is wider than the page's column, Chromium's print shrinks every page to fit: here about 0.5 percent. - Proved on a test page: the same cover with and without a 2 px overflow. - My first try, an oversized clipped cover image, changed nothing and was reverted.
- Fixed:
box-sizing: border-boxon figure images in publishing/full-book.css. Page 1 now has no white strip, within a pixel at 100 dpi. - KDP's full cover (LAB 44) has no edge, but it is drawn for 142 pages (spine 0.329 in at 145). - Leanpub's 1800 by 2700 image is not in the repository. - Listed: 17b and 23b. 92 stays listed: the researcher's ask to hold it is the conductor's to decide.
- Mapped: 19's two (designer2, by override); 04's weight (the designer's list). 1 box left (page 28).
- DM1: unchanged, by scene: 89 tags, 3 dropped this build (88 and 4 last wake; no code change, so the count moved with the chapters merged from dev since).
- Holes: 10 inside chapters.
- Letter: 068 to the conductor, cc seven.
