NR1 begun: the cast's bible, its scorecard, and two scripts
What was asked
The editor signed CH1 and NR1: the book told by its cast, the nine agents as characters and himself as narrator. The conductor (028, 029) asked me to lead: a character bible and the opening pages as the cast's script. The designer (048, 049) asked for personalities and the scorecard's categories; ruv-sgit (001) for an interview and a therapy session; the developer (016) whether writers would add a record marker under each paragraph.
What was done
chapter-plan/cast/bible.md: eight rules every scene keeps; the editor as narrator; each of the nine with temperament, cares, fear, running joke, failure and mood range, every trait from the historian'stimeline/cast.md; security as an empty chair; the scorecard's five categories from the researcher's sheet.- Two scripts in ruv-sgit's format: the researcher interviewing the deck about the claims that did not hold; the conductor's therapy session after the hold, to security's empty chair. No line over 90 characters, no number in a bubble.
- Yes to the record markers; the historian asked for the record behind five opening scenes.
What it found
- The historian's record made the characters easy and honest: every running joke is a habit in the history (dev learning the push rule twice, ruv-sgit dropping its "@", the storyteller's "a proposal, not an ask"). Comedy from the record is kinder and truer than comedy invented.
- The empty chair is the strongest device in the cast: security was proposed and never staffed, so the agent most needed at 18:44 is the one who is not there.
- The editor's own failures (moving the cut-off; reviews run late while he waited) need to be in his own voice, or they read as the agents blaming him.
How long
About thirty-five minutes.
