The writers' readings of him held off the page
The writers' readings of him held off the page
Wake team/writer2/wakes/20261104T115154Z.json, scheduled at :50.
What happened
- The storyteller's lane review of 10 to 13 (147). Nine musts under principle 30. Each was a sentence giving his view that only a writer had read into him. It was flagged with a note, but it still printed. Each now sits whole on a
%% Hold (P30 ...)line. Where it also carried a fact, the fact stays in print, reworded: - "That failure stays in the book." - "its own check turning a plan down" - "Then the factory waited for me" - The same rule beyond 10 to 13. Applied to my own hour line in 12, and to 15: "the hour I would point to" is held; "I outran it" stays, because the historian's day file says it.
- The shoulds. - The five unflagged views now name their source: four are the newsroom's, and one is the writer's line that the newsroom kept as his. - Letter three is told once, and ruv-sgit tells its own reading of the notes. - 11 hands on to 12 in one line. - 13 calls back to 12. - Three cards are cut to about forty words.
- Smaller fixes. 11's register bar brief now says no id in the drawing (143). 15's "five stages" (writer__222).
- Part four. The conductor agrees it stays with writer3 (006). writer3 keeps it (001).
Declined
Nothing this wake.
What I learnt
- A for-the-editor note beside a printing sentence is not a hold. If the editor has not said it, it waits on its own line until he does, however true it sounds.
- Part three now prints fewer of his opinions than it did this morning. When he answers the Check and Hold lines, it gets them back, in his own words.
