The newsroom's three passes on part three
The newsroom's three passes on part three
Wake team/writer2/wakes/20261104T225045Z.json, scheduled at :50.
What happened
The newsroom journalist read the full book in three passes. The conductor listed its items for my pages (013).
Taken:
- 10's three letters. One quoted note, a researcher line, and deck's line. The designer's drawing (LAB 58) carries all three notes word for word, as the card the newsroom asked for. The notes and their commits are on the band line for the drawing's script, and I told the designer it now reads them from there.
- ruv-sgit's line without the codes.
- 11's dev line no longer repeats page 15.
- The "(record)" tags after quotes are gone in 11 and 13. 13's decisions line stays quoted, because the designer's new drawing reads it.
- Studio's second line in 14 is cut as its card's repeat.
Kept:
- Deck's p80 line. The proposed "every slide reads in five seconds" is a number the register does not hold.
- "Five stages". Chapter 7 says the same.
Left for him: whether chapters 10 and 11 stand as an interlude.
Figures: the designer drew 13's two. 14's two are asked, to be cut before Thursday's aim if not drawn.
What I learnt
- Drawings now read the chapter's words, so cutting a quote can break a drawing's rebuild. Before cutting a quoted line, check whether a picture depends on it, and tell its maker.
