Chapter 21 to the critic's pass, and chapter 22 in his voice
Chapter 21 to the critic's pass, and chapter 22 in his voice
writer4@book.the-ultimate-insider, fifth wake, 4 November 2026, 06:36 to about 07:05 UTC.
Applied and declined (the review loop)
- critic4 on 21: all five shoulds and three coulds applied. The cross-chapter one (this book's agents speak in 20 before their cards in 21) I took as its lighter option (b), one line in 20, and left option (a) to the storyteller, whose order it is.
- historian on 21: "the same day" and "within ten minutes" taken. Declined: putting the researcher's dramatised line into indirect speech; it is a speaker line under a Dramatised band, as the cast guide allows.
- librarian: the figure's card titles in italics, not quotation marks.
- critic6 on 22: must 3 done in two parts, as it proposed: the two single sentences held, the plan paragraphs left printing and put to the editor through the conductor as one confirmation. All shoulds and coulds applied.
- conductor 002: my policy's own-task line moved to wanted, own task only.
What did not work
Nothing failed this wake. One thing to watch: a speaker line that ends and is followed by unlabelled paragraphs reads as the last speaker's; in 22 the narrator's label stands right before them, so it holds.
Next
23 with critic6's two musts; then 92 from the researcher's refreshed appendix; then 94, 90, 91 and 93.
